About us

Two people, one enclosure at a time: one works out the numbers and draws it, the other builds it. Right now you get the drawing and build it yourself – soon we can build the enclosure for you too.

Who we are

An IT man and a jack of all trades

MSTC Design is what happens when those two join forces. We built enclosures for friends, and in 2026 we opened it up to everyone else.

That combination is the whole point. The tool that works out your enclosure was written by the same person who draws it — and the box is built by someone who has had a circular saw in his hands all his life. You never have to translate between a spreadsheet and a workshop yourself. You get a clear, professional overview and a product that is properly made.

Not sure?

How do you know what you're doing?

Good question. You shouldn't just take our word for it, so here is what you can check yourself:

Honestly

So are you a big company?

No. We're not even a company. We're two guys with a passion for cars, sound and craftsmanship — and a wish to give people something worth spending their hard-earned money on. Not the typical Facebook order with a badly drawn box or a badly built one.

MSTC Design is a side project we put a lot of energy into. We do it because we love it — not because it has to be a job. And maybe that's exactly what makes the difference: there's no boss pushing a deadline, so we only send out something we'd be proud to receive ourselves.

The method

Everything is calculated — not guessed

Volume, tuning, port air velocity, cone excursion and what the cabin of your particular car adds on top. It all hangs together in one model: change one dimension and the rest follows.

The cut list comes out of the enclosure that was actually drawn — not from a table of standard sizes. The 3D model is the geometry, not a tidy drawing beside it. That is why the measurements are right when you are standing there with the boards.

And that is why we draw every one from scratch: a boot, a driver and a purpose are never the same twice. An off-the-shelf box can fit. A drawn one does.

The process

How it works

  1. You tell us about the setup. The car, the subwoofer, where the enclosure has to go and what it has to do.
  2. We draw it and work it through. You get a link to your own order page, where you can follow it the whole way — and you hear from us as soon as there is something to look at.
  3. You approve the design. The 3D model and the measurements are on the order page — and nothing gets cut until you have said yes.
  4. You download the files and build the box. The drawings and images stay on the order page. Soon we can build it for you too.
The tools

Free — on purpose

The test tones, the cable calculator and the wiring diagrams on this site cost nothing and need no installation. They run on the same maths as the designs we make ourselves.

That is deliberate. Car audio runs on people helping each other, and most questions are small ones: how thick the cable has to be, how two subwoofers should be wired, how low the system actually plays. You should be able to work those out yourself — whether or not there is ever a job in it.
